This looks more like an ashram in India than a home in Silicon Valley, but remember that Bill was 1)a geek; 2)young; 3) starting a company during the Depression. Eventually, his wife and Packard’s wife used this lovely space as a place to do the books and type. Of course; they were women, so they got to type.
