HP Garage

The HP Archivist talks about the first year of Hewlett Packard while I try to pan around the garage. This was a private tour organized by Robert Scoble for attendees of BarCampBlock, and he asked some of his Facebook friends to attend. Lucky me!!! I was thrilled. I hope to write more about how I in the presence of all that tech history later.

I’m really glad you were able to go and enjoyed it. Robert invited me as well, but I declined. I thought a tour that was limited wasn’t really BarCamp-y and that, just like in grade school, if you are going to bring something to class, you should have enough to share with everyone. :)

Nonetheless, I’m happy that you were able to go, record it (for everyone who couldn’t make it) and enjoy it!

Now that I have been to BarCamp, I know exactly what you mean. But when you see the size of the garage, you realize that would have been impossible. If you do want to go, I have the name of a PR person at HP (Dave Berman) who might set something else up. But it will never be for a group on the scale of BarCampBlock, which says a lot for the success of BarCampBlock.
