Chris and Ponzi had a fight, and Chris won’t be live streaming anymore. Psychologists have been talking about the dangers of Internet addiction for ten years, and I really feel for Chris and Ponzi trying to get married and live a life in the world of social media. The Scobles, Heuer and Wells, Chris and Ponzi are only three of the couples I personally know who fight the issue of social media vs. personal privacy on a day-to-day basis. I think we have still to come to terms with what elements of our lives are presentable and which are not. And how much we are willing to contribute to the entertainment of others at the expense of ourselves.
Sadly, when Chris goes dark he strands thousands of people who had grown used to spending time with him and with each other in his chat room. They probably don’t have families, and to them, Chris was family.
These are big, elemental issues. I’m not sure I can do anything right now but just observe without judgment that Chris has made the right choice for his family. More on this if I get the chance to think it through further.
And BTW, April Fool. It’s easier to spread someone else’s effort than make my own.
