Ben's Fire Protection

by francine Hardaway on November 2, 2007

So my grandson Ben, 5, went to the firehouse today, and they taught him to stop, drop and roll if he’s in a fire. When he came home, he made me do this, and then he put all this stuff on top of me to protect me from the flames. The pillows are oxygen tanks, and the yoga mat’s a rubber mat. I don’t know what the other stuff is, but all you can see is my foot sticking out the back. All the time I was giving a play-by-play to by daughter, Ben’s aunt, in California on my cell phone. When Ben’s dad took this picture of what she was talking to, she was hysterical.

“You don’t stop playing because you get old; you get old because you stop playing.”
