‘ve had some pretty bad experiences trying to upload video snippets to YouTube and GoogleVideo from my Canon Powershot. I’ve been trying to upload this piece about the Kamala Beach Hotel in Phuket. This is where we stayed for part of our recent yoga retreat to Malaysia and Thailand, and it has a very sad story to it, which I have wanted to tell. I was finally able to upload the video successfully to my Facebook page, so if you want to see it, click here. Unfortunately, I can’t embed directly here from that page.
This hotel was right in the path of the tsunami, and lost 72 guests and five staff. It has been rebuilt and reopened, and right next to it is a gigantic Tsunami monument and sculpture that I’ve already posted to Flickr.
It was a little windy when I took the video, so maybe it’s a little shaky, but you will get the idea :-)
