I just closed 30 days ago on my mod with Aurora. I was qualified back in July and started making my trail payments Aug 1st. My last trail payment was Nov 1st but by Dec 1st, I had heard nothing. THEN, I went online and googled Aurora reviews and WOW!!!! Lots of problems with them. I actually got scared that I was going to be told that I didn't qualify after all......SO...I sent an email to them and told them what I had been reading online and told them that I am worried I will be denied the mod.....1 day later I got an email saying all I need to do is sent in my HOA fees. OK...I ended up sending it THREE times and I didnt close in 30 days as they originally said, but 60 days....but its a done deal. Have my new mort at 5 1/8 fixed for 30 years. Maybe I just got lucky.....I don't know....btw: i was never late with a payment and I was never underwater on my loan...

Let us know. It sounds as though the only difference between us is that it
took me much longer to get into the modification program because I stayed
current. But I fully expect to get bounced out, since you are not the only
person to tell me they've been in and out of modification programs. Because
the criteria keep shifting and the investors are different in every deal,
this is a program that works better in theory. That's why so many
homeowners have been advised to turn in the keys and move on.,
